At my first session with Maria I was experiencing so much pain in my shoulder that I was unable to lie down flat on the massage table. In addition to the pain in my left shoulder, I also had numbness in my fingers and up the left arm. After about 45 minutes, Maria had calmed it down enough so that I could lie down comfortably. She advised me to visit a physician and get x-rays before continuing massage treatments. I did so and was diagnosed with a "severely stenotic herniated disk". I was told that I would need to have two cervical discs fused together in order to alleviate the pain and regain normal movement. Rather than have invasive surgery, I decided to explore massage. After the third massage I had no pain at all. It is now eight months later and I'm playing tennis six times a week.

"After many years of playing guitar and singing on a semi-professional basis, I was afraid I would have to give it up because of the pain I was experiencing in my neck, shoulders and arms. Your wonderful massage work and advice on how to hold the guitar, where to place the guitar strap, proper stance while singing, etc. has gotten me back on track."
